Driver’s License office hours!!!
    The Limestone County Driver’s License (DL) office is open from Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The DL office is located on East Highway 164 in Groesbeck.
   
Sandy Creek to honor veterans
    The Sandy Creek Memorial Day program will be at Sandy Creek Cemetery, 1251 Limestone County Road this Saturday, with a picnic workday included for sprucing up the cemetery. The cleanup begins at 8:45, and you’re urged to “bring your tools, cold drinks and sack lunches.”
    The business meeting, when new officers will be elected for 2009-2011, will get underway at 10 a.m. A brief ceremony, with a speaker, will take place inside the Sandy United Methodist Church at 11 o’clock. Remarks are invited from veterans attending. Then the cleanup will continue, and that will be followed by lunch.
   
Teague Chamber has Parkfest change

    TEAGUE - The Teague Chamber of Commerce announces that all vendors scheduled for Oct. 17 on Parkfest weekend, should be advised that the date has been changed to Oct. 24. You may call the Chamber office for further information - at 739-2061.

Coolidge sets public hearing
    COOLIDGE - The Coolidge Independent School District has scheduled a public hearing regarding Title I parental involvement and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Funding hearing.
    The hearing is set for Thursday night, May 21, at 7:30. Discussions will ensue about how Title I funds have been spent, how they are budgeted and will be spent, and policies governing parental involvement in the Title I picture.
