Two teams of Mexia High School students took top awards in national competition on projects they executed this school year as part of their DECA studies.
DECA is a class that teaches principles of business to students so they can start learning how to perform well on the job. Students’ part-time jobs are incorporated into DECA studies so the youths can learn firsthand what is involved in the workday world. All six students on the two three-member teams keep part-time jobs as well as attend high school.
