Watson selected for Blue-Grey National Super Combine game
Kaylon Watson, a Mexia High School junior, has been selected to participate in the Blue-Grey National Super Combine at the New England Patriots Training Complex in Foxboro, Mass. on June 8-9. Kaylon plays multiple positions for the Blackcats, on both offense and defense.
The Blue-Grey National Super Football Combine takes 170 prospects from several regional combines including the Midwest, Heartland, Southeast, Southwest, New England, Northern California, Southern California and Great Lakes, and gathers them into one big nationwide combine.
Kaylon was chosen from the Southwest Combine that was held April 13 in Arlington. The combine was held on the UT-Arlington campus.
“It’s an honor to be selected to participate in this,” Watson said. “To represent my teammates, my coaches, my school, and the entire community of Mexia is an honor and a priviledge.” If Kaylon performs well enough at the Super Combine, he will make the pool to be selected to play in the third annual Blue-Grey National All-Star Football Game on Jan. 11 at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This will be a nationally televised game on Fox Sports.
