Betty Berniece Fuller, 87, of Corsicana, and formerly of Mexia, went to join her Lord on June 28, 2013.
She was born in Tehuacana to W.L. and Ruth Lindsey on Feb. 20, 1926.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Jim; her brother Jack; her sisters, Mary, LaRue and Winnie; and her granddaughter Beth Cox.
She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church of Mexia, a retired LVN for the Mexia State School, a volunteer for the Disabled American Veterans, a past member of Eastern Star, a Rebekah, and taught Sunday School to many children and elderly over the years.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Ainsworth Jacobs, and husband Jake, of Corsicana; her son, Terry Cox, and wife Marilyn, of Glen Rock, Penn.; brother W.L. Lindsey and wife Margaret, of Teague; granddaughters Jennifer Janus and husband Eric, of Shepherdstown, W.V., and Niece Hansen, of Corsicana; great-grandsons Theo Janus, and Rowdy, Luke and Cutter Hansen; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; and special friend and caregiver, Peggy Gentry.
Visitation will be Saturday, 6-8 p.m., at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana, Sunday, 2-3 p.m. at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia; and graveside services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Mexia Cemetery with Pastor Leslie Byrd officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church of Mexia.
