Cecil “Tiny” Hileman, 83 of Burlington, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13 at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Burial followed in the Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud with full military honors. Visitation was Monday, Aug. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home home.

Mr. Hileman was born Jan. 19, 1930 in Goose Creek, to Joe and Odie (Davis) Hileman.

He married Carolyn Rothe on Oct. 29, 1977. Tiny retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving in the Korean Conflict.

He owned Tiny’s Drive In, in Rosebud, from 1969 until 1985. He also retired from Farm Bureau Insurance after 22 years of service.
His son Shane preceded him in death in 1994.

He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

He is survived by: his wife, Carolyn Hileman of Burlington; son, Richard Hileman and wife Wendy of Mexia; brother, Marvin Hileman of Port O’Conner; three grandchildren, Heather Hileman, Kestyn Hileman and Shelby Hileman; two great-grandchildren, Kimbrey Hileman and Channing Castro; and his three furry companions, Sassy, Solow and Daisey Mae.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
