The angelic hosts came for William Eddie Potillo, 57, on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at his residence in Fairfield, among loving family and devoted friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Potillo will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home Chapel, 406 Monrore St. in Teague. The Rev. Obry Earl Hatcher will official.

William Eddie was the third child of Matthew and Annette Potillo, and was born Sept. 5, 1955, in Orlando, Fla. He grew up in Fairfield, where he attended Dogan High School.

Eddie was baptized in the Fairfield Missionary Baptist Church, in Fairfield.

William Eddie and Cynthia Johnson were married in Fairfield.

His employment career included being custodian at The Dallas Market Center and at Parkland Hospital, in Dallas.
Eddie’s interest were reading, baseball and basketball, and being with his children, family and friends.

He will be remembered most for his sharp wit and his sense of humor.

Preceding William Potillo in death were his father, Matthew Potillo, and his wife, Cynthia Johnson.
Those who will cherish his memory most are his mother, Annette Bowen Potillo, of Fairfield; his sons, Jermon Myers, of Waco, and Jeremy Potillo, of Dallas; his daughters, Latandrea Johnson and husband Christopher, of Dallas, and Kia Potillo, of Houston; his brothers, Alvin Kennard Bowen and wife Jacqueline, of Dallas, Matthew Potillo Jr., of Fairfield, Steven Potillo and wife Velma, of Fairfield, and Wilmer Potillo, of Dallas; an aunt, Patricia Bowen, of Fairfield; an uncle, Kennard Bowen and wife Mary, of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; eight nephews, six nieces; his good friend James Owens, of Teague; and a host of other relatives and friends.
