Winners of bids on two items advertised by Limestone County were named at last Monday’s meeting, and the winner of a previous bid was corrected.

A 2007 Ford Crown Victoria had been advertised for sale to a law-enforcement agency. The county received a bid of $1,000 from Constable Pct. 3 Glen Shoemaker, and a second bid from Chicago Motors. The second bid’s amount was not stated but was rejected.

“Chicago Motors is not a law-enforcement agency, which is what the bid specified,” said County Judge Daniel Burkeen, “so I’d suggest we’d be required to accept the bid of Glen Shoemaker.
