Mexia’s FUMC pumpkin patch now open
Fall is in the air and that means the annual pumpkin patch at First United Methodist Church is here. FUMC, Tehuacana Methodist and McKinney Baptist churches host fall festivals next Saturday, too.
The pumpkin patch opened Tuesday behind Mexia Pest Control at 608 E. Milam St., where it is easily visible to westbound traffic. The pumpkin patch will be open daily through Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
FUMC’s Fall Festival will be held next Saturday, Oct. 26 starting at 9 a.m.. Children’s activities will include games, face painting, a cake walk and a bounce house. Children are encouraged to come in Halloween costumes. There will be a costume contest this year with prizes. To enter the contest, children need to go to the costume contest booth between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to have their picture taken and costume judged. Winners will be announced around noon.
