Reeves earns national honor after record-breaking game

Former Mexia Blackcat running back Broderick Reeves had the breakout game of his college career this past Saturday against McMurry University.
Reeves, a freshman backup running back for the University of Incarnate Word Cardinals filled in for injured starter Junior Sessions, who left the game in the early part of the second quarter.
Reeves came off the bench and ended up setting four school records with six touchdowns and 244 yards rushing on 23 carries, tacking on another 31 yards in receptions giving him a total of 275 yards in the game.
With Reeves’ brilliant performance, UIW (5-4) managed to hang on for a 47-43 come from behind win.
