The county will be trading in its motorgrader for a new one, taking advantage of an offer for a trade-in from the company the county purchased the machinery from originally.

Limestone County commissioners approved this move at the Nov. 12, commissioners court meeting and also agreed to advertise for the right to cut hay at the airport.

County Engineer Ted Kantor requested approval of the buyback offer.

“We budgeted $65,000, and the trade difference comes in at $62,594, so I’d ask y’all to approve that,” Kantor said.
Commissioner Jerry Allen, however, questioned whether the purchase was within legal guidelines.
