Sales tax rebates stay below 2012 for Mexia

Sales tax distributions to Mexia were down again last month, and remain below the amount gathered year-to-date last year.

The city of Mexia re­ceived $189,556 this period, down 3.73 percent from the $196,915 reported sent in this month in 2012.

Year-to-date, Mexia has received $2,515,963, down .93 of a percent from the $2,539,830 year-to-date total 12 months ago.

Revenues this month were down 9.88 percent in Groesbeck, with that town set to receive $52,395 this period compared to $58,139 a year ago. That city, year-to-date, is ahead 1.61 percent compared to a year ago.
