The Blackcats baseball team is looking forward to an exciting season. With only three starters lost from last year’s team, including Central Texas All-Star Sydney Bryant, the line-up this year will be more experienced in all aspects of the game.
Pitchers Brady Walker, Zach Reece, Josh York and Blake Lewis will more than likely be the go-to guys on the mound again. Walker led the staff with four wins last year.
“I think we’ve got a good shot as long as we stay healthy,” said Coach Matt Matus. “We’ve got a few arm problems right now as far as early season jitters and a few injuries, but for the most part, we’ve got a strong pitching staff back. We didn’t lose any pitching.”
