Michael Edwin Skolaut

Michael Edwin Skolaut, of Thornton, passed away Wed, Feb. 5, 2014 at Providence Hospital in Waco. He was 72. 
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. at the Old Union Church of Christ, with Brother Glenn Easterly officiating.
After the memorial service, a luncheon will be served at the church building for family and friends. 
Mike was born and raised in Houston, where he graduated from high school. He was in the Army branch of the Armed Forces, serving in Korea. 
He owned his own landscaping business. One of his accounts for several years, of which he was very proud, was the Houston Astrodome.
He also worked as a telecommunications technician for Southwestern Bell and later for Williams Telecommunications.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Joseph and Anastasia Skolaut, and his older brother Gene.
He is survived by his brother Richard and his sister Betty.
Mike is also survived by his wife Dorsey; two sons, Gregory and Christopher; one daughter, Denise Lane; grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Grayson and Logan; special lifelong friend, Gerald Campbell, and other special friend, Ernest Tamayo.
