Timothy and Odessa Carter welcomed Timothy Carter Jr., their first child, on Dec. 5, 1927 into their home in Kirven.
Timothy attended school in Fairfield and served in the U.S. Army. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he made his home in Chicago. He worked for Dresser Industries, manufacturing heavy equipment, and retired after many years. He returned to Texas in the early 1990s. He moved back to Fairfield in 2001 and remained until his death.
Timothy enjoyed fishing and watching football. He will be remembered most for his smile, having a good time, and enjoying life to the fullest.
Timothy Carter was preceded in death by his parents and his three sisters, Audrey Carter Haynes, Maudean Carter Carroll and Bonita Carter Barker.
Those left to cherish his memory most are his three brothers, Lozell Carter and wife Francis, of Dallas, Kenneth Carter and wife Marilyn, of Teague, and Jefferson Carter and wife Doris of Fairfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
