The Mexia Blackcats track team will be represented well at this year’s regional meet that is scheduled to begin tomorrow with preliminary track and field events and end on Saturday with the finals in all events.
Mexia’s Kendric Mack will test the speed of his opponents in the 200 Meter Dash at the Regional Meet in Humble beginning tomorrow, along with the 4x100 Meter Relay team of Arik Weathers, Danny Huckaby, Deldrick Hobbs and Mack.
Their best time so far this season was at the Fairfield meet with a 42.65, good enough for a first place finish. Their time at the Area Meet was 42.87 for a second place finish.
Coach Frankie Smith has made a few adjustments to the relay teams over the past few weeks. The big test will be at the Humble meet.
