Limestone County Airport manager Buddy Miller was honored at Monday’s commissioners court for the airport’s recent designation as Texas’ most improved airport.
The award originally had been made at the 32nd Annual Texas Aviation Conference, which was held in Dallas April 9-11.
“Limestone County was designated as the most improved general aviation airport in this state for the past year,” County Judge Daniel Burkeen told the court, “and that is a reflection of the work that Buddy and Barbara have done at the airport, in making those improvements and overseeing and managing the airport.
“We appreciate what y’all do,” he told the Millers.
Miller also received certificates recording resolutions of congratulations from U.S. Rep. Kyle Kacel and State Sen. Charles Schwertner.
“We’re very proud to get that recognition from our state officials,” Burkeen said.
“We certainly want to thank all of y’all,” Barbara Miller told the court, “because it could not have been done without you.”
