Irma Lou Canada Means
The angelic hosts came for Irma Lou Canada Means, 69, of Groesbeck, on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Providence Hospital in Waco, among loving family and devoted friends. A graveside service will follow.
Irma was born Jan. 5, 1945 to Sherman Canada and Ora Lee Cobb in Groesbeck. She grew up in Groesbeck and attended the public schools there. Irma accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mount Gideon Primitive Baptist Church in Doyle.
Means attended college and was employed as a nurse for the Mexia State School for many years.
She enjoyed fishing, watching soap operas and reading romance novels. Irma will be remembered most for her sweet tea.
Preceding her in death are: her parents; her brothers, Willie Canada and Sherman Canada Jr.; and her grandson, Justin Canada.
Those left to cherish her memory most are her sons, Kerry Canada and wife Genelle, of Dallas and Tony Canada, of Groesbeck; her grandson, Kory Canada, of Dallas; her great-grandson, Dantevion Canada, of Waco; her brother, Robert Canada and wife Cathryn, of Dallas; and a host of family and friends.
