Beachum’s first-ever Sportsfest draws pros to Mexia

For the first time ever in Mexia, youngsters received the opportunity to learn a little more about the game of football courtesy of a few guys from the National Football League thanks to former Blackcat and SMU player, Kelvin Beachum Jr.
Beachum – who now plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers – brought in players from his team (Cris Carter, Will Johnson, Robert Golden), along with a couple from the Redskins (Richard Crawford, Al Robinson) and one each from the Cowboys (Sterling Moore), Jaguars (Ziggy Hood) and Broncos (Emmanuel Sanders).
