Need to pay your water bill? Then you need to know the new Mexia City Hall building is officially open for business.
Back in March, the city had hoped to move into their new, more spacious offices in four to six weeks, but it took AT&T until last week to finally hook up phone lines to the space, 101 N. McKinney.
The city took possession of the new building in February, when Citizens National Bank moved to its new location on Milam Street. City Council in July 2014 gave final approval via resolution to swap the building at 405 E. Milam once occupied by the Mexia Area Chamber of Commerce and the city Economic Development Corp., for the McKinney Street building, known for many years as the First Mexia Bank Building.
