Albert proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. While serving, he met the love of his life, Linda Theresa Keller, and they married on Jan. 17, 1970 in Norfolk, Virginia. They spent 39 years together raising their family, as well as horses, cattle and dogs, while living in the Kickapoo community (Limestone County). They traveled to a number of states showing prize-winning German Shepherd dogs.
