Concerned Citizens for Constitution meet Thursday night

Concerned Citizens for the Constitution (CCC), gaining in attendance every time the organization meets, has another meeting scheduled for this Thursday night at 7 o’clock.
The organization meets monthly at Gibbs Memorial Library in Mexia. Citizens are also cordially invited to attend from surrounding cities - Groesbeck, Teague, Wortham, Coolidge, Fairfield, Tehuacana, and other communities.
This week’s meeting should be of particular interest. “Come to the CCC meeting and find out what part religion played in the making of our nation by our Founding Fathers,” says Jackie Casey. Linda Waldrop and her husband Ken are other founders of the organization, which has nothing more than to regain the nation’s Constitution, which of late has been under attack.
“For instance, did you know that 29 signers of the Declaration of Independence had seminary degrees?,” asks Linda Waldrop. This of course, leads into the Thursday night topic, Is America a Christian Nation, by noted historian David Barton. To help provide the missing historical knowledge necessary to combat today’s post-modern revisionism, CCC will present the David Barton video. David is the Founder and President of WallBuilders, a national pro-family organization that presents America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our moral, religious and constitutional heritage.
Modern claims that America is not a Christian nation are rarely noticed or refuted today because of the nation’s widespread lack of knowledge about America’s history and foundation. Even President Obama has gotten into the fray by declaring “America is not a Christian nation.”
Thursday night’s video is approximately one hour, “and you will learn facts you never heard presented before,” reminds Linda Waldrop. “We’ll have time afterwards for discussion and/or questions,” emphasizes Jackie Casey.
