Coolidge man dies in wreck

Dustin Clint Richards, 22, of Coolidge, died in a head on vehicle collision, which also claimed the life of another person early Wednesday morning near an intersection on West Highway 84 and Frazier Lane in Axtell.
Also dead in the collision is Sandra Luz Vasquez, 48, of Waco. She was a cafeteria worker in the Teague Independent School District, and was said to be on her way to work when the wreck occurred shortly before 5:30. Richards, a construction worker, also was said to be on his way to work.
A third person, Alvaro Lopez, 51, of Waco, was a passenger with Vasquez, traveling eastward in a Plymouth Breeze. Lopez sustained injuries, said to be not life-threating, according to reporter Michah Williams of KWTX, Channel 10. Richards was traveling westward on 84.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Belinda Summers of Mart.
