Supper ‘n Singing
    Every month, it’s Supper and Singing at South McKinney Street Baptist Church. The time has arrived - this event is scheduled for this Friday night, with the meal at 6:30, and the singing to take place following, announces Jace Floyd.
   
BURN BAN LIFTED!!!
    The Burn Ban for Limestone County has been lifted.
    The ban came off on a vote by the county Commissioners at their Monday morning meeting.
   
Prairie Hill Festival plans start
    The Prairie Hill Fall Festival is a ways off, but plans are rolling for the annual event, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19. Anyone interested in having an Arts and Crafts booth, free of charge, please contact Hattie Russell at (254) 344-2258.   
   
Freestone Art League to meet Saturday
    TEAGUE - The Freestone County Art League will meet this Saturday morning at 10 o’clock in Fellowship Hall of the Church of Christ, North 8th Street. Rhonda Lawson, an artist from Midlothian, will present a watercolor workshop paint-along. If interested in participating, call Barbara Vest at 562-5581 to obtain a list of supplies and information on how to prepare the canvas, prior to the meeting. Refreshments will be served. Hostesses for this meeting are Edna McCauley and Margaret Tolar.   
       
Homecoming for Wortham church
    WORTHAM - Beulah Baptist Church will observe its 54th-year Homecoming this Sunday afternoon with a 3 o’clock service. Everyone is welcome. The Rev. Curtis Jefferson, Jr., a former Wortham resident, will bring the message. He is pastor of New Hope Baptist Church of Weatherford.
   
One-night revival
    FAIRFIELD - Faith Temple Ministries, North Highway 75, will have a one-night revival this Saturday, beginning at 4 p.m. All are invited, says Pastor P.A. Rischer. Pastor Carlos Daniels of Faith Tabernacle Ministries of Palestine, will preach.
