    Lorena ISD doesn’t sell pre-game tickets. All tickets to the Mexia-Lorena game must be purchased at the Lorena Stadium Friday evening. Tickets are $5.
   
Wortham 4-H to trick or treat!!
    WORTHAM - Wortham 4-H members will have their annual trick or treat fundraiser, hoping to get canned goods instead of candy and other goodies. The fundraiser will come this Sunday starting at 3 p.m. 4-H members are to gather at the Chamber of Commerce building promptly at 3 o’clock. A hot dog cookout will follow the fundraising efforts.
   
Bozeman benefit set for Sunday!
    A benefit for the Hubert (Tilmon) Bozeman family will be held this Sunday afternoon, starting at 1 o’clock, at Lancaster Post 4694, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Bozeman, 49, died Sept. 26, leaving seven children and a loving wife. The benefit is sponsored by by Men’s Auxiliary of Lancaster Post.
    The fundraising benefit will include a fish fry, featuring fish, fried potatoes, Cole slaw and hush puppies. Plates will be $6. Also, donations appreciated and gratefully accepted for the family. Fun and fellowship will also be a part of this meaningful time. Drinks may be purchased at the VFW Cantina.       
   
Ford Chapel sets Homecoming
    Ford Chapel Baptist Church will observe its 112th Homecoming anniversary this Sunday afternoon with a program at 3 o’clock. Guest speaker will be Pastor Byron Ravnell of Sweet Home Baptist Church. Everyone is cordially invited to attend the service. Brother Wilmer Davis is pastor of  Ford Chapel.
   
Teague Chamber has Parkfest change
    TEAGUE - The Teague Chamber of Commerce announces that all vendors scheduled for Oct. 17 on Parkfest weekend, should be advised that the date has been changed to Oct. 24. You may call the Chamber office for further information - at 739-2061.   
   
Faith Temple sets special day
    FAIRFIELD - Faith Temple Ministries, North Highway 75, will celebrate the church’s 17th annual Family and Friends Day this coming Sunday afternoon with a program at 4 o’clock. Musical groups and special speakers will be a part of the special day. Pastor is P.A. Rischer.
