Helen Louise Findley Obituary

Helen Louise Findley, of Groesbeck, passed away at home on Tuesday, Dec. 29,at age 82.
Mrs. Findley was born Jan. 17, 1927, to Henry Burgdorff and Lydia E. (Ruitz) Burgdorff in Sturgis, S.D. She grew up and attended school in Sturgis.
After school, she trained to be a beautician and was a homemaker and beautician all her life. The family lived in Texas and Mrs. Findley returned to South Dakota after the death of her husband. She moved back to Texas to the Groesbeck area to be near her daughter in 2004.
Mrs. Findley enjoyed dancing and loved gardening, especially raising prize-winning roses. She also enjoyed time spent fishing and loved being with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Findley was preceded in death by her parents, husband G. P. McClintock in 1984, and husband, Glen Findley in 2004.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandy Hesterlee of Groesbeck; granddaughter, Vicky Lee and husband Justin of Thornton; grandson, Paul Hesterlee of Waco; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Colten and Katelynn Lee of Thornton and Camrynn Hesterlee of Waco.
The family will be honoring Mrs. Findley's wishes for her cremation, with her remains to be sprinkled in Spearfish Canyon, S.D.
