Late surge propels No. 19 Blackcats

The state-ranked Mexia Blackcats improved their season record to 16-4 with a late rally led on Friday against the Athens Hornets. Guard Mister Carroll gave Mexia back the lead on a three-pointer in the third period. Carroll led all scorers on the night with 24 points - including three shots from beyond the arc.
"Mister Carroll had two big games for us", said Mexia Head Coach Walter Smith. "He followed up a 30-point game against Fairfield with another 24 against Athens."
