Roosevelt Reed Jr., 71, of Coolidge, died Friday, Jan. 8, at home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Union Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Rev. LouisF. Bell and the Rev. Willie Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Sandy Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Clarence Reed, Billy Morgan, Larry Lusk, Alvin Reed, Elvis Echols and William Hutchison.
Mr. Reed was born Feb. 26, 1937, in Coolidge. He was a construction workerand lived in the Dallas area and in Sandy.
Survivors include three sisters, Ezra L. Harbard Echols, Sandy, Lillie R. Hooks, Oklahoma City, and Irene Wilbert Williams of Sandy; a very special friend Luverta Hunter of Dallas; one uncle, the Rev. L.T. Freeman of Dallas; two aunts, Zora M. Lusk of Lubbock and Wavarline Freeman of Waco and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dorsey-Keatts Funeral Home of Mexia is in charge of arrangements.
