Mexia residents were asked to conserve water last week after problems developed at a top producting water in the Personville field.
Bistone Municipal Water Supply District, which operates the well, has six producing wells in that area. General Manager Brent Locke of Bistone Water District, said Friday.
"The No. 2 well is our top producing well," he said. "It appears that repairs could be finished within about 10 days from now."
The water district board of directors are expected to discuss the progress on the repairs during its regular monthly meeting, set for 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Lake Mexia Pavilion on 730 FM 2681.
