Garry Dane Lewis

    Garry Dane Lewis, 56, of Kirvin, died Thursday, March 4, at home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 8, at Willow Springs Cemetery near Athens. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Capps Memorial Chapel in Fairfield.

    Mr. Lewis was born August 29, 1953, in Henderson County to parents Benjamin Boyd Lewis and Ellen Meador Lewis. He was a bridge inspector for BNSF Railroad and had been a Freestone County resident since 1982, when he moved from Corsicana. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Cravey. 

    Survivors include two children, Jeffrey Lewis of Wortham; Gary Lewis and wife Leona of Wortham; the mother of his children, Donna Lewis of Fairfield; eight grandchildren, Caitlin, Caleb and Mackenzie Lewis; Holly, Ronny, Gabby, and Rudy Miller; Ryken Lewis; and two special friends, Ross Ruckle, his job supervisor and Robert Womack of Rowlett.
