Mexia Little Dribblers Banquet

    The Mexia Little Dribblers youth organization had their end of season sports banquet on Sunday Feb. 28 at the Mexia Civic Center at 5 p.m. The banquet was for all 44 teams, 312 youth, parents, sponsors and coaches. There were more than 500 in attendance at the banquet.
    The Mexia Little Dribblers would like to thank all of their 2010 Sponsors, coaches and everyone that was associated with this year’s program. The sponsors are: Antioch Baptist Church, Backyard Party Rental, Bi-Stone Builders, Brookshire’s, Busby’s Plumbing, Burk’s Enterprise, Centex Citizens Credit Union, Charlie Allen’s, Falcon Protective Service, Flatt Stationers Inc., Farmers State Bank, Glamour Jazz Barber/Detail, HEB Grocery, H&L Tire, Incommons Bank, Insurance Licensing Services of America (ILSA), Jesse’s Auto Body repair, Jim’s Krispy Chicken, Kasey’s Kreations, Kirby’s BBQ, LG Lawn Service, LG Network Cabling, McDonald’s, Mexia Insurance, Metro Sanitation Inc. Mrs. Baird’s MT Music, Parkview Hospital, Pearly Gates Funeral Home, Pizza Hut/Wing Street, Porter’s, Roles Tire Shop, Snowball’s Garage.
    The Mexia Allstars would like to thank the Mexia Centex Citizens Credit Union for the new uniforms again this year. This allows the allstar boys’ and girls’ teams to look nice as they stride on the court to Regionals and hopefully toward winning some more National Championships.
    The Mexia Little Dribblers Organization will be giving away some financial scholarships this year to some of the graduating Mexia High School seniors at the ceremony . This will be the first year for the Mexia Little Dribblers to give away scholarships. More details and how to apply for the scholarships will be published at a later date.
    The Mexia Little Dribblers will host the boys Regional Tournament here in Mexia March 25-27, 2010 at the Mexia Jr. High School Gyms. The Mexia boy allstar teams ages 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 will be competing in the 15-team Tournament.
