Rachel Robbins
Rachel I. Key Woodall Robbins, 75, of Mexia, passed away on August 19 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Rick Gray and Brother David Snow officiating. Interment will follow at Lost Prairie Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Robbins was born on July 19, 1935 in Fallon, Texas to Joe R. and Iona Mae Beck Key. She graduated from Mexia High School and was a bookkeeper for Sullivan & Sullivan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Tracy Woodall.

Rachel is survived by her daughter, Vana Dabney & husband, Ed of Mexia; granddaughters, Crystal Dabney and Rachel Dabney of Mexia, Margie Marez & husband, Ramon of Teague, Crystal, Amanda, Tammy and Charlotte Norman of Kirven, Candy Kuykendall & husband, Taft of Wortham, Stephanie & Sheila of Houston; grandsons, Aaron Woodall of Dawson and Bubba Norman of Teague; daughter-in-law, Rita Woodall of Kirven as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Ollie Hicks, Gage Hicks, Matt Samford, Keith Smith, Joseph Key and Ricky Norman. Honorary pallbearers are Ramon Marez and Taft Kuykendall.

Dolores Beirponch, 90, passed away on August 19, 2010 at the Medical Center of McKinney. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Mexia Cemetery with Reverend Jay Fraze officiating. Family visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beirponch was born on May 17, 1920 to Roy and Bess Calame Keeling. She was a worthy matron of the Eastern Star. Dolores was city secretary of Wortham, justice of the peace, city judge, figured income tax on the side and was the last owner of the Wortham Journal.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Roger Farquhar, her second husband, Michael Beirponch and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Keeling.

Dolores is survived by her daughters, Jean Justice & husband, Calvin of Highland Village and Mona Modisette of McKinney; 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Arnold Keeling of Wortham as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials in Mrs. Beirponch's name may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Wortham.

Mary Kathryn Forrest Parker
Mary Kathryn Forrest Parker, 84, of Dallas passed away at her home August 18, 2010. She had been a resident of Lexington Place in Dallas, TX. since April 2005. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 21, 2010 in the Mexia Cemetery with Rev. Ron Key officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m., prior to the service.

Mary Kathryn was born December 27, 1925 in Mexia, Texas to Harry and Kathryn Welborn Forrest. She was a graduate of Mexia High School, Mexia, TX. and received a Bachelor of Science in Art at Texas Women's University, Denton, TX. Mary Kathryn married Jack Henry Parker, of Dallas, on June 30, 1956 in Mexia. . She resided in Richardson, TX., Harlingen TX. and San Antonio, TX. and raised three children.

Her life was her family and church. She was a loving Wife, Mom, Room Mom, Sunday School teacher to children ages 2 and 3, Choir Member, Cub Scout Den Mom, Cook, Homework Helper and family "taxi" driver. Her artistic talents were heavily called upon by her church and her children's schools.

Mary K's working career included editor of the corporate magazine for Republic National Bank of Dallas and later for GPM Life Insurance of San Antonio, TX.

She was a member of Castle Hills Christian Church in San Antonio until she moved to Dallas for health reasons.

Survivors, who cherish her memory, are son, Forrest Wayne Parker and wife, Rebecca and children, Amanda and Matt Parker of Tulsa, OK; daughters, Priscilla Parker Baitup and husband, Michael and son, Ethan Baitup of Dallas, TX. and Polly Ann Parker of Garland, TX.; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, James Forrest.

George Anthony Trammell

Funeral services for George Anthony Trammell, 51, who resided at 1184 FM 2705, will be held Friday morning at 11 o'clock, Aug. 20, 2010, in New Unity Baptist Church of Dallas. Officiating will be the Rev. Timothy Williams of Shank Robinson. Burial will be in the VFW Veterans Cemetery, under direction of Dorsey-Keatts Funeral Home of Mexia.

Mr. Trammell, a truck driver and an employee of the Mexia State Assisted Living Center, was a Baptist. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was born on Jan. 19, 1959, in Dallas, and died Aug. 12, 2010, in Parkview Regional Hospital.

Surviving are his wife, Mya Trammell of Mexia; a son, George Anthony Trammell, Jr., and wife Tamara of Dallas; a daughter, Myisha Trammell of Mexia; his mother, Minnie Maxine Guinn of Dallas; a sister, Ruthie Miles and husband Eddie; his father and mother-in-law, Arbra and Patsy Echols of Mexia; his grandmother-in-law, Willie Lee Perry; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Nina Walker and husband LaVodges of Cedar Hill, Abra Echols of Glenn Heights, Tx., Arbra Echols, Jr., and wife Nnenna of Dallas; five nephews - Damon, Tedrick, Chadric, Jamal and Samuel; five nieces, Latrice, Cornichie,, Britni, Jamesia and C'Von. A host of friends and other relatives cherish Anthony's memories. They include his god sister, Sandra Taylor. Anthony (T) we love you.

Pallbearers are Abra Echols, Jr., Claude Sandles, Jr., Larry Propes, LaVodges Walker and Donald Thomas.

Mary Bob Bowen
October 28, 1922 - August 12, 2010

Mary Bowen, 87, of Fort Worth, passed away Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Trinity Terrace in Fort Worth, Texas. Graveside services were held at the Bryan Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010. The Rev. Marcus Sheffield, of the First Baptist Church of Mexia, officiated.

Mrs. Bowen was a long time resident of Bryan, Texas, where her husband, Alton O. Bowen, was superintendent of Bryan ISD. She moved to Mexia after his death and resided there for many years. She was a homemaker and a devoted mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Bowen was preceded in death by her husband, Alton O. Bowen, and a sister, Joy Adams.

Mrs. Bowen is survived by her son, Martin C. Bowen and his wife, Judy, of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Tracy Bowen Hancock, of Mexia, Kelly Bowen Wilson, of Fort Worth, and Martin C. Bowen Jr., of Los Angeles, California; three great grandchildren, Elliott Pergande and Wyatt Wilson, of Forth Worth, and Lindsey Hancock, of Mexia.

Reggie Rene' Morton, Jr.
Feb. 22, 1990-Aug. 9, 2010

The Angelic Hosts came for Reggie Morton of Fairfield on Hwy 84,  1 mile east of Fairfield on Monday, August 9.  Viewing for Reggie will be held Friday, August 13, 2010 from 10:00 AM-7:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church, 303 S. Mount Street, Downtown Fairfield with Pastor Anthony Taylor officiating.  Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery of Fairfield. 

Reggie was a graduate of Fairfield High School, had been employed by Jack-In-The Box Restaurant, and Sam's Restaurant in Fairfield.  He has lived in Houston and Fairfield and his hobbies are dancing, texting, loud music, family and friends.  He attended the St. Hill Church Of God In Christ in Fairfield.
