Letter to Editor for 04-11

Dear MISD Community,

I have announced that I will not be seeking re-election to the MISD School Board. It has been a great privilege to, first, work in this district for so many years and then to have the opportunity to serve on the board and to give back to so many.

I would like to say thank you to the teachers, the students, and the administrators for working so hard each and every day to create great learning environments and experiences for the young people in our community. We truly have the best in the state. I also want to take this moment to encourage parents, grandparents, and community leaders to become involved and to stay interested in our children…they are the best asset for our future.

Please continue to be involved in your children’s lives; they are our blessings.
