Letter to Editor for 05-16

— Dear Bob and the Citizens of Mexia,
An announcement came out in Tuesday’s, May 13, 2008, newspaper about the benefit being held for Neil Windland at the Sundowner that contained inaccurate information. This benefit has nothing to do with the local V.F.W. Post. V.F.W. Post 4694 of Mexia actually refused to hold this benefit. The current Commander did not speak to the editor or have anything to do with this announcement. Bob Wright in his continuous effort to only publish accurate information has apologized and taken action to correct his error. Thank you Bob. We hope this will clear up any misunderstandings and confusion anyone might have had.
