Letter to the Editor for 08-08
Dear Editor,
The Planned Parenthood clinic in Mexia has closed due to building structural problems. This is good news for Limestone County. There has been much emphasis on the statement the clinic did not perform abortions. That should provide little consolation. Surely, the Mexia clinic would counsel for abortions since its parent in Waco operates an abortion clinic. The Waco Planned Parenthood abortion clinic extinguished 1,246 pre-born babies in 2007, killing innocent and defenseless babies and damaging the physical, mental and spiritual of the mother, especially. Moreover, the Planned Parenthood approach to sexuality for youths should be the source of grave concern for anyone dedicated to raising moral standards and expectations for our children. For Planned Parenthood, it is “anything goes” for children. The only concern is avoiding pregnancy and STDs. The Planned Parenthood focus does not protect the heart or soul. So far, no one has invented a condom for the heart. Planned Parenthood’s agenda for teens can be seen in the semi-pornographic book (It’s Perfectly Normal) that has been given away to children at this organization’s annual Nobody’s Fool event in Waco. Also, Planned Parenthood affiliates operate websites for youths that are dangerous and disturbing to body, mind, and soul. So let’s be thankful that Planned Parenthood is shut down and work together to offer our children-of all income levels and ethnic groups-ethical standard and expectation that will result in healthy, virtuous, and fulfilling futures.
Planned Parenthood is seeking a new location in town, Please don’t allow this organization to remain in the county.
