Mexia ISD early voting starts April 28

Early voting by personal appearance for the Mexia Independent School District’s (ISD) trustee election will begin on April 28, and will end on May 6.

Early voting will be at the Mexia ISD Administration Building, 616 North Red River.

Election Day is on May 10 at the Mexia Civic Center, 101 South McKinney Street, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Applications for a ballot by mail began on March 11, and must be received by no later than May 2. Application for a ballot by mail should be mailed to Peggy Beck, Early Voting Clerk, P.O. Box 350, 200 West State Street, Suite 102, Groesbeck, Texas 76642. The County Clerk has contracted with the Mexia ISD to conduct this election.

The election is to fill two places (4 and 5) on the school board.

The final day to apply for a place on the ballot was March 10. Brian Johnson and Gordon Lee are vying for one position, while Bert Harrison and Stephana High are in a contest for the other place.
