AARP safety course set
An AARP Driver Safety Course is scheduled for Parkview Regional Hospital, 600 South Bonham Street, Mexia.
Anyone may take the course, but it does not count for traffic tickets. The class will be on March 25 and 26, starting at 11 a.m. on the first day, and at 1 p.m. on March 26. You must attend both days to get the certificate which entitles you to a discount on your automobile insurance.

Lake Mexia Citizens Association to meet
The Lake Mexia Citizens Association will be meeting at 7:00 on Monday, March 24, 2008, at the recreation building at the Lake Mexia Marina. Brent Locke of the Bi-Stone Municipal Water District will be our guest speaker. Several members have voiced questions that Mr. Locke will be able to answer. If you are a resident of Lake Mexia or live in the vicinity of Lake Mexia, you are welcome and encouraged to attend. We will also be discussing dates and plans for the Lakewide Garage Sale, Lake Clean-up and Crime Watch. Involvement in improving your neighborhood benefits everyone living in and around the lake. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
Praise dance workshop
TEAGUE - First Baptist Church-North Teague will have its fourth annual Praise Dance Workshop and Concert this Saturday at First Baptist Church’s Christian Life Center at 613 Walnut Street. Youths, five and older, are invited to participate. Lunch is included.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the same location.
