WORTHAM - The Wortham School Board meets Monday night at 6:30, and among items for consideration and/or action is an agreement to help save electricity dollars for the District.
Trustees will meet in the high school library, and will probably approve an aggregate energy agreement with the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB).
In other action, the board is due to approve the 4-H Program as “school-related.” Wendi Green, Freestone County Economics Extension Agent, will come before the board to explain how the adjunct faculty could relate 4-H and the Wortham ISD.
Monthly reports are to come from administrators, and this will be followed by appointments of officials to conduct the May 10 school trustee election. Votes will be cast in this election at the Wortham Independent School District, and at Kirvin, which is in the Wortham ISD.
The Wortham ISD’s “local media source” will be nominated for the “Media Honor Roll,” and approval is due to be given for the 2007-2008 Campus and District Improvement Plans.
Personnel comprise the subject matter to wrap up the meeting. Trustees could accept resignations, and then will vote to approve contracts, or make a decision for non-renewals, for the staffs of Elementary, Middle School and for High School.
