Freestone County NAACP
The E. E. Wheat Freestone County NAACP will meet Thursday May 8, 6:00pm at the Dogan Campus, Fairfield. The agenda will consist of various committee reports as well as the 2008 scholarship recipients will be selected. The president and members wish to thank the community and all sponsors who made the Annual Freedom Fund Banquet a success. Freestone County Retired Teachers Meet
The regular meeting of the Freestone County Retired Teachers is scheduled for Tuesday May 13, at 11:30am at Sam’s Restaurant, Fairfield. This is the time for us to reach out ,seeking new members. All retired teachers as well as those anticipating retiring are invited to join the organization. Members are reminded that we will meet Monday May 12, 10:00am at the EOAC office on 4th St., Teague to prepare the Children’s book for distribution. The books will be distributed to the Fairfield Elementary 1st grade. A reminder; we will not be meeting over the Summer. Erma Jordan, President.
