High seeks seat on School Board

The following was submitted for publication by school board candidate Stephana High.

My name is Stephana High. I am seeking election to the Mexia ISD Board of Trustees for Place 5.

I am a native of Mexia, Texas, the daughter of Ocie Lee Dancer, Sr., and Ruby Franklin Dancer, and the granddaughter of the late Jesse Lee Franklin, Billy and Costella Dancer.

I attended and graduated from Mexia ISD. My husband and children are also graduates of Mexia ISD. I am married to Wallace High, Sr., and we have two sons Wallace High, Jr., a senior at Baylor University, and Chadrick High, a sophomore at Abilene Christian University. We have one grandchild, Atiyana (future M.I.S.D. student).

I value my upbringing and the education received in the Mexia I.S.D., graduate of the Class of 1985.

Stephana also is a graduate of Baylor University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Education. She is employed with Navarro College as an instructor and with Fairfield Nursing and Rehab as Director of Social Work.

I am asking for your support, prayers and vote on May 10, 2008, at the Mexia Civic Center.
