Fire destroys house

The camerawoman was not allowed to get any closer, but she did get a colorful night photo of the fire which destroyed a house owned by Doris Betts, about 80. Fortunately, Mrs. Betts was not at home when the blaze erupted; she was in Dallas for Mother's Day to visit relatives. The house was located near the Elmer Beene residence off South Highway 14.
