Limestone to seek annual supply bids

By Bob Wright-Editor

It’s time again for bids to go out for county supplies.

Limestone County Commissioners’ Court, in regularly-scheduled session this coming Monday morning, is due to authorize the County Auditor to advertise for fiscal-year 2008-2009 annual bids toward purchase of the needed supplies, both for the courthouse and for the Road and Bridge Department.

In other action, at the 9 o’clock meeting, the Limestone Commission will set a site, date and time for a public hearing to consider the petition for a South Limestone County Emergency Services District, will certify funds gained from sale of the old show barn, okay a utility line agreement and approve new hirings for the Road and Bridge Department.

Other items include acceptance of a two-acre donation of land in Kosse, okay payment of bills incurred since the last meeting, discuss the Limestone County Detention Center and renew a bond for Patricia Myers of Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace office in Mexia.

Other agenda items include approval of investments and/or recall of money from the TexPool Fund, schedule budget hearings and take action on an order providing for licensing and regulation of sexually-oriented businesses.
