Emelie C. Bargainer, 73, of Irving, died Friday, May 2, 2008, at Baylor Medical Center in Irving. Born April 13, 1935, in Mexia, she was the daughter of Hubert H. McKinnon and Eula Mae Van Winkle McKinnon.
She graduated from Mexia High School, and attended the University of North Texas and the University of Texas at Dallas. She married Franklin D. Barganier on September 1, 1953, in Houston.
Mrs. Bargainer was a member of North Irving Church of Christ where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class. She was a member of the Priceless Personality Club at South MacArthur Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Frank of Irving; daughters, Celia Lane Rosser of Tulsa, and Teresa Cheryl Barganier of Irving; son, Jonathan Kevin Barganier of Arlington; sisters, Huberta Duke of Garland and Sally Schillenberg of Burnet; 9 grandchildren, Christopher Rosser, J. Ryan Rosser, Cameron Rosser, Jamieson Rosser, Jeremy Estes, Jessica Byrd, Jordan Barganier, Madeleine Barganier and Ethan Barganier; 8 great-grandchildren, Aunnah Rosser, Paige Rosser, Heath Rosser, Briar Rosser, Garrett Rosser, Luthor Estes, Xander Estes, and Jala Barganier.
Friends were received by the family at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2008. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday at North Irving Church of Christ, 727 Metker, Irving, Texas. Christopher Rosser officiated. Burial followed at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
