Wayne Alan Curry
Funeral services for Wayne Alan Curry, 62, of Mexia will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2008, in Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Chet Brake will officiate with interment to follow in the Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery, Navarro County.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 o’clock Saturday night at the funeral home.
Mr. Curry was born on December 19, 1945, in Wollaston, England to Aubrey and Hazel Curry and passed away May 8, 2008, in Providence Hospital in Waco. He was area manager for Hanson Aggregates and served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church. He moved from Amarillo to Mexia in 1979 to be the Superintendent for D. P. Frost Construction at the rock crushing plant west of Mexia and continued employment with subsequent owners.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Curry of Mexia; sons, Chris Curry and wife, Belinda of Corsicana and Robert (Bobby) Sacco of Eagle Pass; grandchildren, Gage Curry and Macee Curry of Corsicana; brothers, Donnie Curry of Brandywine, Maryland and Dale Curry of Thorndale; sister, Lorraine King of Thorndale.
Pallbearers are Ray Fleet, Bruce Bates, Bill Bates, Anthony Farris, John Carlson, Jr. and McKinley Murkledove. Honorary pallbearers are Cyril Farris and Ray Jones.

William Hobby Pinkerton III
William Hobby Pinkerton III, 45, of Littlefield, Texas passed away May 6, 2008, at Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008, at 11 a.m. in Prairie Grove Cemetery with Bill Wright, Sr., officiating. Family visitation was Friday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock at Porter Funeral Home.
Mr. Pinkerton was born May 28, 1962, in Dallas, Texas.
He is survived by his mother, Connie Barker and husband, Tom of Littlefield; a son, Keith Pinkerton and wife Mikca of Lubbock; a daughter, Ashley Pinkerton and husband, Justin Duke of Groesbeck; a brother, Ronnie Barker and wife, Karen of Athens; sisters - Jo Tisdale of Littlefield and Debbie Williams and husband Kenneth of Mexia; grandchildren - Jesse Duke and Alyek and Rylie; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
