Al Tisdale, Age 72
Memorial services for Mr. Al Tisdale will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008, at 10:00a.m. at Bowers Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Tisdale was born September 15, 1935, in Streetman and passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. He was a member of Cotton Gin Lodge # 154 in Kirvin and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. Mr. Tisdale loved to hunt and fish and listen to country music. He played guitar and fiddle and was once invited to play in the Grand Old Opry. Mr. Tisdale was a heavy equipment operator and owned and operated Al’s Dozer service for many years.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kathy Fryar and Debbie Kilgore both of Spring; grandson, Keith Kilgore of Teague; two great-granddaughters, Rachel Fryar & Kylie Kilgore; one granddaughter-in-law, Cynthia Fryar all of Spring; sister, Nell Winkler & husband Clayton of Killeen; sister-in-laws, Mary Clark of Dallas, Linda Huffman & husband James, Sue Nicholas, Jennifer Parson & husband Bobby; brother-in-law, John Nichols & wife Edna all of Teague; aunts, Edna White of Temple and Lela Graham of Wortham; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.
Mr. Tisdale was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Tisdale; grandson, Shawn Fryar; mother, Mary Tisdale; and father, Granville Tisdale.
