Billy Don “Bill” Newsom, 92, of Coolidge, passed away Dec. 9 in Mexia. Funeral services were held 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Wright, Jr. officiating.
Melvin Joe Wallace, 68, a loving father, son, and brother, will remain in our hearts after his sunrise to sunset. He died Dec. 11 in Austin.
Rubia Iles (affectionately called : Jo Jo or Queen), 89 of Dallas, Texas transitioned/ gained her wings on November 24, 2023. She was born to the parentage of Joseph Echols, Sr. and Ruby Faye (Crawford) Echols on July 17, 1934 in Mexia, Texas. What a wonder, she was named after her parents. The first girl born of nine children.
Jerry Duncan, 86, of Irving, passed away Nov. 29, at the Baylor, Scott & White Hospital in Irving. He was the son of Clinton Daniel Duncan and Joyce Ann Wilbourn Duncan. He was born July 28, 1937, in Overton.
