Seven Ladycats take spots on 19-3A All-District roster

At least seven Ladycat softball players were named to the 19-3A All-District Softball Team, which has been released.
Sophomore Cheyenne Thompson was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year at catcher, freshman shortstop McKenzie Bain was one of six First Team Infielders, junior Dashia Forge made Second Team Infield at pitcher, senior Amy Johnson made First Team Outfield along with senior Mary Speights, who made Second Team Outfield.
Receiving Honorable Mention were Destiny Gage (Sr., 3B), Tyesha Johnson (Fr., 2B) and Alexis Molina (Jr., 1B).
Earning Academic All-District honors were Andreya Fleming, Michelle Robles, Forge, Molina, Speights, A. Johnson, Francis Marez, Bain, T. Johnson and Shelby Harig.
The Ladycats finished the 2013 season with a district record of 2-6 and were 11-13 overall under the direction of Head Coach Steve Hogan.
