Maxine Farmer Stringer

Maxine Farmer Stringer, 70, of Corsicana passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at Twilight Home in Corsicana. She was born July 2, 1942 in Corsicana to Herman Lee and Katie Mae Farmer.

She was the caretaker for James Carroll for 18 years.

She was preceded in death by a husband, Ray Just; parents, Herman Lee and Katie Farmer; brother, Laught Farmer; sisters, Jo Nell Toms and Jimmie Ruth Slaughter; and a step-daughter, Dorothy Jean Hull.

She is survived by her husband, James Lee Stringer of Corsicana; stepson, Mike Lewis and wife Sherry of Corsicana; stepdaughters, Tammy Hoffart of Waxahachie and husband Denny and Lisa Skinner and husband Josh of Corsicana; sisters, Clara Lee Williams of Corsicana, Bula Mae Kerzee and husband Richard of Mexia, and Jeraldine Jackson and husband Sam of Mexia; brothers-in-law, Lee Toms Jr. of Corsicana, Bobby Stringer and wife Barbara of Tool, and Jerry Stringer and wife Debbie of Eureka; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, June 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Trinity Assembly of God Church with the Rev. James Williams and Rev. Lonnie Keele officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Allen Potter, Tommy Potter, Billy Williams, Randy Porter, Dakota De la Garza, Rudy De la Garza, Matt Porter, Cory Porter and Billy Ott.
