Weekend filled with mayhem on area roads

A number of wrecks – including three rollovers – kept law enforcers and emergency medical workers hopping over the weekend.
On Friday evening, an SUV believed to be a Chevrolet Tahoe left the road on East Milam in front of Tractor Supply Company and rolled over. The driver was taken to a Waco hospital but returned home that same night, Mexia police said. The accident report was not completed as of Monday afternoon, so further information is unavailable.

Around 11:50 p.m. Friday night, a call came in to Mexia PD of a vehicle in a ditch south of Mexia on Hwy. 14 South, just inside the city limits. The caller said the vehicle had been all over the road, then drove into the ditch.

When police arrived, they found the vehicle had left the road, run over a sign, gone through a ditch and hit a desk-sized boulder before rolling repeatedly.
