Blackcats scrimmage against Teague, Ferris

One team may be hard to take on during a scrimmage, let alone two.

That situation didn’t seem to bother this year’s Blackcat football team as they stood toe-to-toe with both the Teague Lions and Ferris Yellow Jackets this past Friday night at Black Cat Field.

Mexia’s offense moved the ball fairly well on the first series, as both quarterbacks (Jaylon Gipson and Ronald Jackson) picked up decent yardage on run plays.

“They did some things I felt we need to improve on,” said Head Coach Lamonte Chambers.
