Tump was born Jan. 27, 1922, in Crockett, to Will and Della Brough Chrisner.

She worked for several businesses in Mexia prior to owning and operating Trubye Lee’s Dress Shop. She married Cecil C. Asher on April 19, 1941, in Mexia. Tump had to learn how to cook when she was very young, due to the death of her mother, and she learned well as she was an excellent cook. Her life revolved around God, her family and friends. She was willing to help anyone, no questions asked, nor any complaints.

Tump loved getting together with family and friends to play a game of dominoes, forty-two or canasta. Many memories were made at family gatherings, especially those with homemade ice cream and shelling peas. She enjoyed canning vegetables, cooking and sewing. Tump was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church.
